Yesterday we posted a nice and relaxing “virtual hike” of a stunning valley in the Westfjords of Iceland. Well, now it’s time to experience the complete opposite!
In this incredible, adrenaline-pumping drone video by Óli Haukur Mýrdal (better known as OZZO Photography on social media) he takes us on a flight along a massive lava river right up to the two craters of Iceland’s newest volcano, located in Geldingadalur valley on the Reykjanes peninsula.
To shoot the video, Óli had to put his drone on the line, and it’s not a drone that comes cheap, as it’s a top-of-the-line FPV (First-person view) racing drone that is piloted using a special virtual reality headset.
So strap yourself in and prepare to feel like a bird… the world’s bravest bird that is.
