This Timelapse Video Perfectly Captures The Magical Beauty Of Winter In Iceland

This stunning video was shot by filmmaker Patrick Shyu over two rather cold weeks in March of 2014. The video features many of southern Iceland’s natural wonders, such as the Northern Lights dancing over Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon.

Patrick titled his work ‘Crystalapse’, as the first half of the video takes the viewer on a journey into the shadows of some incredible ice caves while the second part features some of the greatest timelapse shots we’ve ever seen of Iceland.

Make sure to watch the video the whole way through, as there’s a lovely surprise ending. It may not have melted the winter ice, but it most certainly melted our hearts!
