Driving the F-roads of the Icelandic Highlands is an adventure like no other. One that should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list.
But bare in mind they are essentially mountain roads (The F stands for “fjalla”, which means mountain in Icelandic) and a 4×4 vehicle is absolutely necessary for traversing the backroads of the Highlands.)
