This beautiful 4K drone video was shot by Xplore Media during a 9 day trip around the Ring Road in Iceland.
Filmed at the end of May, the video does a great job in showing off what spring is like in Iceland. While the winter snow has melted and everything is starting to turn green, spring is still a relatively cold period (with plenty of rainy days). But there is just something so magical about seeing the country come back to life, with grass and flowers starting to bloom as well as seasonal birds migrating back to the island in the millions.
The areas featured in the video are these in order of appearance: Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, Kàlfafell, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, Skaftafellsjökull Glacier, Skeiðarársandur, Papey Island, Djúpivogur, Borgarfjarðarhöfn Eystri, Vatnsnesfjall Lighthouse, Vatnsnes Peninsula, Kirkjufell Mountain, Námafjall Geothermal Area, and the Sólheimasandur Plane Wreck.
